Sámi Center for Contemporary Art (Sámi Dáiddaguovddáš), Karasjok, 2021
The exhibition consisted of 18 textile sculptures developed in collaboration with Norwegian-Sámi artist Kristin Tårnesvik. The work was based on ten different textile prints, developed from details found in Tårnesvik’s artistic practice.
The prints were combined with surplus textiles from the studio and materials found in the exhibition venue’s back rooms. Through this process, vivid figures with their own character and direction emerged — like sketches in the room.
The textile sculptures were later photographed on a model’s body in the streets of Oslo by cinematographer Hans Jørgen Ersvik.

MO FRIIS COLLECTION/TAKE ON ME, Kunstnerforbundets overlyssal, 2016
An artistic collaboration with textile artist Hanne Friis.
The presentation took place as part of Friis's solo exhibition at Kunstnerforbundet and was shown in conjunction with Oslo Runway. The collection featured 18 garments made from plant-dyed silk and silk velvet, coloured with plants foraged in and around Oslo's surrounding forests.
The rich, harmonious colours gave the garments a distinctive lustre while retaining the subtle scent of forest plants, creating a direct sensory connection to their natural source. Synnøve Mos's airy yet precise approach to design and garment construction further emphasized the qualities of the colours and the textiles. The extensive processes behind each piece reflect a commitment to craftsmanship, traditional knowledge, and the values of slow fashion.

Visning Kunstnernes Hus
A collection of warm, colourful, tactile wool garments created for the dark winter streets.
The project resulted in four custom textile patterns, woven by Røros Tweed using their heaviest wool quality made from Rauma Garn yarn. One of the patterns was developed in collaboration with artist and curator Kjersti Solbakken. The project brought together Norwegian design, contemporary art, craft traditions, local production, and natural materials in an interdisciplinary collaboration.
I was invited by Kunstnernes Hus to present the project in their exhibition space.

Intricate artistic patchwork of silk, wool, vintage fabrics, and leftovers from studio production. The seams twist and turn around the body, complementing and highlighting each part they are designed to frame. Making you question where the fabric ends and the body begins.
The same technique was carried through the outerwear, including wool coats, wool bomber jackets, and capes. Subtle, sparkling sequins were carefully set into the heavy wool coats — visible only through movement.
The Mo Wool Cap first came to life in this collection.
