Loved and Found
A series of jewelry where sparkling Swarovski crystals are mixed with pieces of old jewelry, held together by long, very thin adjustable chains. Each piece is completely unique, shaped around the color, form, and texture of each individual stone.
Ancient soapstone and selenite cylinders from the 1940s. Plastic jewelry from the 1950s and glowing handblown glass from the 1970s. The joyful madness of the 1980s, metallic shapes from the 1990s, and rows of rhinestones from the 2000s. All treasured in the now and brought together through Synnøve Mo’s quiet Scandinavian visual language. Her almost fragile, whispering aesthetic suddenly erupts through color or proportion, only to find its calm again.
